2012 Education Summit updates

  1. The PDPA's unique specification program, designed with architects and designers in mind, is generating leads for decorative painters. An addition derived at this year's Summit will be an online finish library, custom specification forms, general pricing guidelines and list of qualified applicants. So far, it is receiving positive feedback and we are expanding the database with case studies. *You can help by submitting your own finishes to be used as case studies. Contact us for submission requirements.

  1. Colorado's chapter of the ICAA has been proposed to pilot the PDPA spec program. André Martinez visited President Paul Gunther at the ICAA HQ in NY and they will be following our progress with interests in launching it nationally. *You can help us and yourself by joining your local ICAA chapter and engage in networking with its members.

  1. CEU classes on how to use the PDPA spec program and add more decorative painting to projects will be launched in 2013.

  1. The Journeyman's Cipher, the PDPA tool for qualifying decorative painters, will be edited to a less formal version, on the advice of the PDPA advisory council.

  2. While floor space at the 2013 convention is being finalized, select PDPA members are set to represent the PDPA by painting the pieces that will present our brand strategy for the event. *You can help by preparing a demo for live performance at convention. Contact us for submission qualifications.

A special thanks to this year's speakers for their commitment to aesthetic, insightful contributions and positive spirit:
