The PDPA needs your support, it is with your support that we can concentrate on advancing the decorative painting industry. Some of goals that we have chosen to take on this year are as follows:

  • Creating an aliance with ASID:

This does two things. One it allows the designers from the ASID to have a reference of decorative painters in their lap to choose from. We as a PDPA member will be front and center. Secondly it educated the designers on new trend and the full ability of the modern decrative painter.

  • Goverment recognition:

This allows the schools throughout the country the ability to provide student loans and scholorships for students(like a college) thus making them more money which in turn allows them to create bigger and better programs in the future.

  • Education Summit:

Creating a FREE annual summit that will provide PDPA members with continuing education within the decorative arts and business arenas. As a PDPA member this will be a FREE event and each member will not leave empty handed. (see main page for Education Summit link)

  • Profiles and Galleries:

A place to place your information and work as a PDPA member so it can be easily seen by designers and architects.

  • Commercial Galleries:

Guidence in placing galleries of your work inside paint stores throughout the country. A nice way to capture passive sales.

The PDPA’s initiatives focus on solidifying and enhancing decorative painting; our programs reflect our passionate dedication to fulfilling the goals of individuals and industry alike. Establishing community, formulating education models for accreditation, strengthening industry ethics, and striving to connect decorative painters with modern technologies—these ideals are the foundation from which current and future projects of the PDPA are built.

The committees within the PDPA are comprised of members and sponsors, and are formed under the direction of the Board of Directors. Their duties demand that they continuously strive to accumulate information about decorative painting—its future, its needs—and structure policies, education, accreditation, and other concerns around a concrete basis of wisdom.

In-depth involvement isn’t limited to committees, however; the PDPA welcomes feedback or inquires regarding more expansive interaction with the association.
